JARON'S BIO

Jaron Touhey calls San Antonio his home even though he hails from San Angelo, TX. Taking inspiration from bands such as Linkin Park, Incubus, and Three Days Grace, he started writing his own songs. His takeaway was that music is a deep form of expression of both the good and the ugly emotions we can harbor within. In his music you can expect to find soothing tones along with an alternative rock edge, allowing you to get a feel for his introspective and sometimes challenging lyrics. Don’t let that fool you though; many of his songs progress from being solemn to becoming quite uplifting in their message.

Jaron’s real start was inspired by a love for singing and a desire to play the guitar rather than other instruments he played growing up. He soon taught himself the guitar and went on to begin writing at the age of 14. Through the years he performed in various bands ranging in style from cover bands, grunge, to rock. In 2012 at the age of 24, Jaron underwent intensive industry training for 4 months before showcasing his original song “Furthest Thing From Perfect” to an audience of 2,000 and for a critiquing board of 76 media agents at the AMTC SHINE Summer Showcases, which ended in a recording consignment with Tate Music Group.

In 2014, his debut album entitled “Seasons” was released, selling out of stock in the first month. Some notable titles from that album are “Anger”, “Furthest Thing From Perfect”, and “Seasons”. He has gone on to play at multiple venues in San Antonio including the La Villita’s, Historical Arts District and H.E.B.’s corporate headquarters, The Arsenal. He has also collaborated with other artists in the southern United States. His vocal talent has appeared in the songs “All I Wanted” and “Hold On” from Spoken’s 2015 album “Breath Again”.
